Hiphop Started in the Park Photos
August 4, 2008
Yesterday was “Hiphop Started in the park” an event up in the hilltop which was about community, education, and fun. Of course all of the local media outlets were not there to cover it. hmmm wonder why…
Anyways it was lots of fun, music was good, MC battles happened, kids were dancing, and people were educated about all of the wonderful hiphop education programs in Tacoma

Urban Arts Festival A Success
June 30, 2008
Weather could not have been any better for this years Urban Arts Festival. Located at Firemans Park in downtown Tacoma hippies, goths, rockers, drunks, kids, grandmas, and even stilt walkers converged. It was an event that truly brought together people who care and love Tacoma. The stages this year looked amazing, I thought the greenery worked really well. Next year I would like to see more local food establishments taking part though. Sure the taste of Tacoma was the same weekend but the quality of the carnival food that is offered at the Taste is terrible. Great job everyone who helped make this festival a success.

Tacoma Hiphop Rally Tomorrow at Pantages @ Noon
March 9, 2008
There has been some loose organization of a protest/rally tomorrow at the Pantages theater at noon. March 10, 2008.
This is what was posted by the promoters:
The city of tacoma would like you to believe they are for diversity and growth, but we call their bluff! They welcomed a rap show in december. They wanted the new and fresh to share in the performing arts community. Rottweiler rented the building hired e40 , tickets went on sale, Kube started advertising, then the TPD stepped in. To insure the safety of the night we agreed to hire additional security including 19 tacoma police officers, 20 staff pro employees, and the numerous broadway center staff. (for an event that holds only 1100 people) then they gave us three days to pay all of these people. And when we give them there money and jump through their hoops, they then decided to scare the community. They want to blame e40 but they couldn’t prove any violence at his concerts, so they want to blame the local artists and their fan base. They would like people to believe that if you throw up your neighborhood or hang in a certain part of town, or try to put a certain event on you are condoning gang activity. They are using your myspace posts and comments for their arguments. They claim the Rottweiler crew and e40 will bring violence and riots downtown that night. So its time to join together to show the communities and hip hop events don’t constitute gang violence. We are speaking out and would like your feelings on the subject. rottweiler is a family and community based organization. that support all the performing arts of all kinds!
Organization then started happening online and plans to rally in protest started popping up.

The Write Reason Video Recap
February 1, 2008
Last night Can-U & Reign were at it again. Holding a show over at UWT’s Longshoremans Hall around 30 people showed up to show support for local hiphop and local artists. When they say all ages they are really serious…there were babies running around! Overall it was a great event and it was good seeing lots of familiar faces.
