Like usual The Helm put out. I am always amazed with the talent they host across their stark white walls. This months rotation is featuring the work of Zachary Marvick and Chris Sharp. Both local I have seen them many times at local coffee spots or bars but had no idea (In Real Life) who they were till tonight.

I enjoyed the detail, simplicity, and movement of Zachary’s work…each piece was like a mini movie and was really fun to explore. Chris’ work was much different it felt very classic with its hand lettering layered style. I’ve been a fan of what Chris does since I saw him doing letterpress at one of the events downtown. I really liked his illustrations for the Tacoma Public Utilities Calendar as well.

Thanks for the comment. You have a picture of me up there! And my sister! I feel so famous: I’m on a Tacoma blog that isn’t my own
